History
- Angelite was originally found in Peru in 1987. The meaning of the name Angelit comes from its strong vibration, which establishes contact with the angelic world. It is a lilac or pale blue type of Anhydrite. Anhydrite is a stone formed by compression on Celestite over millions of years. It is also found in white, grey, blue, pink and red. Some pieces may be bluish white with occasional tiny red inclusions of Hematite. It looks like blue Calcite but is denser and much more opaque.

Care
- To clean Angelite, simply use soapy water and a soft cloth. Be sure to rinse the stone well to remove any soapy residue. As with most gemstones, ultrasonic cleaners and steamers are not recommended.
- It is best to store stone jewellery and the stones themselves in a fabric-covered box or wrapped in cloth separately from the others to prevent damage and possible scratches. It is advisable not to wear jewellery during major physical activities such as exercise or sports. Avoid spraying perfume and hairspray directly on your jewellery and stones.
