Yoni Eggs

  • Yoni eggs, Jade eggs or Love eggs - are the names of beautiful handmade eggs made of different minerals and crystals, used for vaginal exercises or vaginal yoga. "Yoni" is the Sanskrit word for female genitalia and actually means "sacred space". Women have been practising vaginal yoga with stone eggs for more than 5000 years. In the royal palace in China, women used mainly Jade eggs because they believed it would help them with their sexual power. They were thought to awaken sensuality and maintain incredible health in their old age. Until recently, this ancient secret practice was only available to members of the royal family.
  • By simply using the egg, you will strengthen your vaginal and lower pelvic floor muscles. During the vaginal yoga session itself, you will be able to experience exciting vibrations by using the two eggs together! The eggs generally have a hole through which you can put a string (silk or dental floss, which should be free of additives) and add weights (other eggs or beads made of stones). Beginners can use the string to make it easier to pull or "hatch the eggs". It may sound funny, but the purpose of the exercise is also for the woman to "hatch" the egg herself without the use of a string. Make sure the egg is at your body temperature before using it. The egg can be warmed in the palm of your hand, under your armpits or with lukewarm water (do not use boiling water).
  • Eggs vary in size and weight. A smaller egg is more difficult to manipulate and is therefore suitable for more "advanced" users. It is best to choose the egg with which you feel most comfortable. As the vagina is very flexible, most women will be able to use all egg sizes with ease. Bigger eggs are just bigger and heavier. Despite the weight itself, such an egg is easier to grip and the massaging effect as it moves up and down in your vagina will be significantly greater. However, its size and weight will limit your training. Larger eggs are recommended for women who have recently given birth or for women who think or feel that their vaginal muscles have become a little weak (perhaps due to age or surgery). If you find vaginal yoga uncomfortable, a larger egg will stimulate this area and help you to become familiar with your own body.

The string theory

For good hygiene reasons, we recommend that you dispose of the string after use and use a new one later. The best string is dental floss. It is thin, strong, sterile and widely available. You can also use natural cotton, silk or hemp string. The string is a good helper to help beginners to pull the egg out more easily. Usually women who have been practising vaginal yoga for a long time can push the egg out without the help of a string. The string is later used to add weight to the egg itself. The exercise itself is called "Vaginal Kung Fu".

Egg care

The vagina has a very advanced self-cleansing system that regulates the amount of acidity and bacteria and maintains a healthy balance. It is very important to clean the egg well before use. Many users simply wash the eggs before and after use with organic soap and water (the hole is also cleaned). The sterilisation itself is done every week or two. Many sterilisation processes can be too aggressive, including boiling, steaming or the use of harsh chemicals. We therefore do not recommend this. Any residues of harsh chemicals will affect the delicate balance of the natural flora in the vagina. Boiling and steam can also damage the structure of the stone, thus weakening the natural properties of the stone. We recommend soaking the egg in diluted grapefruit juice or vinegar and cleaning it with organic soap before use. You can also wipe the egg with alcohol (whisky or vodka also work well), but remember to rinse the egg well afterwards. Do not use eggs that are made of plastic, painted, siliconised or made of other hazardous materials. It is best to use a real stone, mineral or crystal. Be careful as there are lots of fakes and painted stones on the internet.
