History
- Bronzite belongs to the Enstatite group of minerals. It is chocolate brown in colour, enriched with a bronze lustre. Bronzite is also known to have been found in some meteorites. Bronzite is a preform of Enstatite (a type of magnesium). It has a bronze lustre due to its many inclusions and iron ore. It consists of a complex combination of magnesium and magnesium iron silicate from a combination of Enstatite and Hypersthene, which can be found deep in the earth. In Bronzite, a bronze light called a shiner can be seen, which is due to the metallic lustre that appears most prominently when it is polished.

Care
- Bronzite can be quite sensitive to strong pressure, high temperatures and harsh household chemicals and cleaning agents. Avoid exposing Bronzite to bleach or sulphuric acid. Clean Bronzite with warm soapy water. Wipe the stone with a soft cloth and make sure it is well rinsed to remove any soapy residue.
- It is best to store stone jewellery and the stones themselves in a fabric-covered box or wrapped in cloth separately from the others to prevent damage and possible scratches. It is advisable not to wear jewellery during major physical activities such as exercise or sports. Avoid spraying perfume and hairspray directly on your jewellery and stones.
