History
- Tanzanite is an exclusive form of Zoisite, with a colour range from ultramarine to sapphire blue. It occurs with Amethyst and sometimes even with yellow tints in artificial light. It is often confused with Sapphire. The main difference between the two is that Tanzanite has a brilliant range of purple and blue shades.

Care
- Ultrasonic and steam cleaners can damage Tanzanite or affect its colour and should not be used. Instead, use warm soapy water and allow the stone to air dry on its own. Avoid the use of bleach and acids. It is best to store stone jewellery and the stones themselves in a cloth-covered box or wrap them in cloth separately from the others to prevent self-damage and possible scratches.
- It is advisable not to wear jewellery during major physical activities such as exercise or sports. Avoid spraying perfume and hairspray directly on your jewellery and stones.
